Its been a while coming but after a few weeks of trying different rigs I think I have finally have a rig I'm happy with. The feet and hands still need a bit more work as they have a bend to them rather than the feel of boney joints but I am close and further tweaks to the weight maps will be needed.
Next step is developing the full range of animations that will be needed, Idle breathing, looking around, roaring, attacking and different death animations to name but a few.
